Help me please!
As I told you in an earlier post… I’ve been away from Second Life for a couple of mounts because I had a lot to do in Real Life. I still have - but now I have some sparetime left in this stupid 24 hour/day (wish for more) for some parts of my Second Life.
My friends keep IM’n me: Oh, you are back! Meet me here and meet me there!
Wish I could… But actually I’m not back all that much. Still lot’s going on in real life… Don’t have time for partys and socialising in SL ( only in real life - he he). For the moment I’m just trying to keep up with my Shop, Yardsale and Blog… And pay my SL bills. Phu!
This blog is about helping people out in Second Life. Tutorials for Newborns and about Clothing, Skinning and so on. I know that many people read it and benefit - and that makes me feel gooood! So now please help me! I came back to SL and had to install a new client-version… I don’t get this. The menus look different! And…
-Â No facelights work for me!
- The default textures look like something the cat dragged in - crap that is 
- for example the ground grass at my yardsale - messy and smured.
- Environment lights look very different…
I don’t have time to figure this out myself so please leave a comment to help me out. A link to where I can get information is fine, too! (if the comments don’t show up instantly - they have to go trough my spam-check and will be approved later).

The new client your probally using is Dazzle, i’ve never used it myself i’m just using the basic Second Life. Your best bet would be to google Dazzle viewer see what comes up.
I don’t know much about face lights i don’t use them but maybe this can help.

I use the settings given on here and they work pretty good, they are mainly used with Enviroment Settings. Though she does offer a face lamp aswell.

Thanks! I feel really stupid now… I really have been away for some time, huh? I’m having problems that other people started to deal with in January.. I use ‘Second Life 1.20.17′ - but for me that update wasnt optional. Hmmm.&
I did know about windlight but not tested and had forgotten all about it - and that is of cource the thing about how the enviroment looks. Your link did “cast some light” over that issue so to speak.
I’m not a fan of facelights but I use them for ad-photos. The ones I’m wearing still doesn’t work - mine or others. I cant seem to build anything with light on - it doesnt show
Have to look into all of this new stuff but phu! looks like that will take some time to understand and fix. Grrr!
